Pakistani actress Veena Malik acting in Kannada movie The Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga is not at all fresh news now. The latest buzz about the Bigg Boss 4 contestant is that she is turning a singer with this movie. According to reports, Veena is going to croon an item number for this film, which is doing rounds in the Sandalwood circle.

Reports suggest that Veena Malik has recently completed her talkie portions for the film The Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga and left for her native. The actress is said to be coming back to Bangalore in August and record the item song, which is going to be one of the major highlights of her debut Kannada movie.

It has been further reported that Veena Malik will only sing the song, but she will not be shaking legs for the tunes of the song in the film The Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga. Now, the makers of the movie wanted to rope in Poonam Pandey for this particular song, but they have dropped her name due to some reason. Now, they are reportedly considering the names of Zarine Khan, Amisha Patel and Zia Khan for the song.

However, this item song has created lot of curiosity among the people in the industry as well as movie buffs. What surprises many about the song is its lyrics. Since Veena Malik is from Pakistan, she does not know Kannada. Is the lyrics of the song in Kannada or in Kangalish like in the hit Tamil song 'Kolavari Di'.

Veena Malik's Ramazan show dropped after public outrage

Veena Malik's new Ramazan show, in which she was supposed to repent for her sins, didn't seem to have settled well with the awaam.

 From internet petitions calling for the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to ban the show, the anger was hot and unrestricted. The furor and resentment around the show finally made the production team rethink their decision to air it.

“Hero TV is for the awaam. If the awaam does not want to see Veena Malik on this Ramazan show, then we will cancel it.”  The member also added that they respect the wishes of the populace.

A YouTube user by the name Hamza Imran uploaded a video of his reaction to Veena’s Ramazan promo. Cursing heavily, he appealed to viewers. “Can you imagine Veena Malik, who not so long ago stripped half naked with an ISI tattoo on her? She hasn’t got any right to be entering Pakistan, let alone being on a TV show that has such religion significance,” he said in the video.

He also added that he had uploaded his video to “spread the message” to the show’s producers for its cancellation. “I’m not just going to be Facebooking or liking things online because that’s not going to make a difference. I want people to email Hero TV and send them hate messages and ask them to stop this. She’s a disgrace of a person. How dare she?” he added.

The Bangalore City Police had to resort to a mild lathi charge to disperse the crowds that thronged to see Veena Malik during the shooting of Dirty Picture in Bangalore recently.

The shooting for the film was taking place in the busy Majestic area which houses the railway station, outstation bus stand and the intercity bus stand. A scene was shot featuring Akshay and Veena Malik at the entrance to the bus stand. Though the team came to the shooting spot without any publicity, the crowds gathered quickly when word got around about the presence of Veena Malik, queen of controversy. Soon there was a traffic jam in the Majestic area and the police found it difficult to control the crowd.

To add to the melee, Veena sent flying kisses to her fans which made them go berserk and the crowd surged to get closer to the actress. Eventually, the Police had to resort to a mild lathi charge to disperse the crowd that had gathered at the shooting spot. They managed to bring about some order and the shooting proceeded smoothly after that.

Veena Malik recently caused traffic jam in Bangalore while shooting for her maiden Kannada movie Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga. When the actress stepped out of her caravan, the crowd became uncontrollable, reports Mail Today. The actress was shooting near Kempe Gowda bus station, the busiest hub of the IT city. The shoot started last week in studios.

Though security issues were taken care of, crowd could not be controlled when sultry Veena stepped out in public. Police had to come in the picture for managing the crowd.

"This response is unbelievable. I am sure the movie will be a hit," Veena Malik said.

Trishul, the director of the film, says his story is different from The Dirty Picture. "I have written a fresh story and it has a lot of native elements that is peculiar to Karnataka. But I thought the title, The Dirty Picture, will suit the story very well. The title has been cleared by KFC and we are legally bound to use it for the film.

Veena Malik gained weight to play southern sex siren

If Vidya Balan gained 12 kg to play southern sex siren in " The Dirty Picture", Pakistani actress Veena Malik claims she has put on 5 kg for the Kannada version of the film and that her dialogues have not been dubbed.


"I had to put on five kg for the role because the script demanded so. Size zero does not exist here in South. I was 48 kgs, now I am 53 kg. Fourty per cent of the shooting has been completed," Veena Malik told IANS.

Currently Veena is shooting for Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga in Bangalore.

" 'The Dirty Picture' in Kannada has got no relation to the Hindi version. Yes, it is the story of Silk but it's a different story. You will have to wait and watch. I am speaking in Kannada in the film. It's not being dubbed."

There is a constant comparison between Veena and Rakhi Sawant, but the Pakistani actress, whose first Bollywood film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai sank without a trace, says being judged doesn't bother her.

"No, it does not bother me because whenever any new thing comes, people tend to judge it or tag it. I am sure with time things will change. I am new here, so I am being judged. I don't mind that because it is human nature," she said.

Veena Malik's ultimate dream

Controversy's favourite child, Pakistani actress Veena Malik reveals that her heart craves to croon and that her dream has been to become a singer and not an actor.

"I think, Bollywood is beautiful, but my ultimate dream is not to become a Bollwood star. My ultimate dream is to become a singer. I always wanted to become a singer, but because of my looks I was always suggested to act," Veena told IANS.

"Ever since my childhood, I have imagined myself standing in front of thousands of people and singing. I never dreamt of becoming a Bollywood star. I am happy, and acting is something I enjoy but my ultimate dream is to become a singer," she added.

Currently Veena is busy promoting her first Hindi movie Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai, which will see her in a double role.

The actress shot to fame in India with her stint on reality show Bigg Boss 4 and her romantic escapades with Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel spiced it up.

Talking about the popularity of reality shows on television, Veena said: "People love spice in reality shows. There are certain aspects in a reality show that I also like, like Swayamvar. I think media shows what people want to see."

Veena was roped in for the reality show Veena Ka Swayamvar, but the reality show didn't happened because the Imagine decided to shut down its operations.

Would she be part of any dance or comedy show?

"I personally don't like dance shows. I said no to dance shows, I said no to comedy shows because when it comes to comedy, I would like to only do the films," she said.
