DirecTV drop will black-out Jersey Shore, Snooki & JWoWW to 20 million viewers

Breaking News - Millions of Jersey Shore fans will no longer be able to watch their favorite MTV reality shows under a DirecTV black out that becomes effective at midnight tonight (Tuesday). DirecTV is dropping 26 Viacom channels - including MTV, MTV2 and VH1 - as part of stalled negotiations on an distribution deal. When DirecTV drops the channels it will leave 20 million viewers without access to their favorite MTV programming including Jersey Shore and the currently airing Snooki & JWoWW.

The threat that millions could be left in the dark has MTV and the Jersey Shore stars taking action. A statement blocks all MTV.com visitors from accessing the network's website today (Tuesday) until they listen to a short video about the DirecTV change. Several of the Jersey Shore stars including Mike 'The Situation' and Pauly D even took to Twitter to make fans aware of the situation. "DIRECTV is dropping MTV, that means no more Jersey Shore so call 800 531 5000 to stop them!" they both tweeted.

The major reasons behind why DirecTV is threatening to drop Viacom channels is basically over dollars and cents. The bottom line is the current distribution deal between DirecTV and Viacom expires tonight after months of negotiations. In a statement on the Viacom website it is noted that, "DirecTV provided Viacom with a counter proposal that included a lower rate than Viacom receives from any other distributor in the industry. With this offer, our negotiations have reached an impasse." DirecTV retorted on their own website saying, "'(We have) absolutely no intention of removing your favorite Viacom networks ... but unfortunately Viacom executives sent a letter to us late last night, forcing us to take these channels down by midnight tonight if we don't come to an agreement." The site goes on to say, "Viacom wants you to pay over 30 percent more to keep the channels you are already receiving costing customers $1 billion."

JWoww Balances her Good and Evil with a Tiger Tattoo

The "Jersey Shore" stars are no stranger to rebellion; with their incessant binge drinking, partying, and occasional rough-housing, getting a tattoo is certainly in the mix of their favorite activities. Co-star of the latest "Jersey Shore" spin-off, "Snooki and JWoww", Jenni JWoww Farley flaunts her newest tattoo on the latest issue of Inked magazine.

Farley is already known for her mini-tattoo collection. She has a dragon across her ribcage, a rose and wings with the German word "Opa" (meaning grandmother; the star pays homage to her late grandmother), and praying hands and a cross on her right upper back. Her latest addition - a tiger sprawled across her right thigh.

The "Jersey"-girl debuts her new ink on the magazine's cover wearing nothing but a bikini bottom, a cropped tank, and heels, while getting soapy washing a car.

The 26-year-old explains that the tiger represents a balance between good and evil. The dragon on her left side represents evil while the tiger on the right represents good. Another interesting fact about the new tattoo is that it was done by her college advisor. Farley told Inked, "He was an art student, but he's also been tattooing for 10 years."

All of Farley's inks are strategically placed in areas that can be easily covered. She said, "I want to be able to show my tattoos off when I want to, and I want to be able to cover them when I don't."

And today Jennifer ‘JWoww’ Farley was also displaying her wild side as she took the plunge in an animal print dress.

The 26-year-old stepped out in the revealing frock while filming for Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights.

JWoww showed off her cleavage and tanned legs in the skimpy dress, which boasted tiger and zebra prints.

She teamed the number with a pair of two tone blue and teal wedges as the gang picked up supplies for a party at their house.

Today is the cast’s final day filming for the sixth season of the MTV show and they are reportedly planning a blow-out bash for this evening.

The eight pals have plenty to celebrate as today is also Paul ‘Pauly D’ Delvecchio’s birthday, while Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino turned 30 yesterday.

Teetering around in high heels while doing some heavy lifting proved to be a tricky task for JWoww and she then changed into some comfortable flip flops.

JWoww was joined by her co-stars Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, Deena Cortese and Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola, and the four were seen leaving their house together.

Pregnant Snooki was also sporting animal print in the form of a floaty leopard blouse, which she teamed with ripped jeans and cork wedges.

Meanwhile Deena was dressed in a red T-shirt and floral shorts and Sammi wore a striped green top with Daisy Dukes.

Pauly D and The Situation were also seen stocking up on food for the gang’s final party of the summer.

And Pauly was delighted when he ran into some fans who wished him well for his birthday.
