Hollywood directors design action for Salman's Ek Tha Tiger

Actor Salman Khan is synonymous with action, given his stunt-savvy films like Wanted (2008), Dabangg (2010), Ready (2011) and Bodyguard (2011). And in his next movie, director Kabir Khan’s romantic spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger (ETT), the star returns to his core strength in the role of a secret agent.

He will be seen in hand-to-hand combats and chase sequences, while he shows off his Parkour skills, and these sequences have been designed and coordinated by ace Hollywood stunt directors.Says Kabir, “I was sure that we needed action sequences that looked real, and yet retained the element of larger-than-life heroism. That is why we approached Conrad Palmisano.”

The famous Hollywood stunt director has films like Rambo – First Blood (1982), the Lethal Weapon series and the hugely popular Rush Hour series to his credit. He is also considered to have launched Jackie Chan and Jet Li in Hollywood.
Kabir adds, “As a stunt co-ordinator, we roped in Markos Rounthwaite, because of his work in Bourne Ultimatum (2007). The action in the Bourne series looks so real and gives you a sense of exhilaration.”

The film has been shot in Ireland, Turkey, Iraq, India and Cuba. “The first promo featured stunts like Salman jumping from a tower and shooting villains as he slides backwards down a flight of stairs. It’s got a good response,” says a source from the production house.
